DIDSIG
continues to grow, we've launched a new format, and the appointment of
a BMC Member Mike Carley sees the encouragement of SIGs on the Web.
We're a
bit later than expected with the first issue of DIDMSNJ this year, but
we hope it's worth it! A new computer, followed by several disk crashes
have slowed things up, but hopefully it's now on a much more secure footing.
We're using Microsoft Publisher 98 instead of Corel Ventura. This will
mean, |

amongst
other things, that the Journal will get an Internet edition faster, attracting
more members, can be produced faster, and the popularity and ease of operation
of Publisher will mean it it will be much easier for a change of editor
if someone else decides to carry the torch one day!
We deal
with very serious issues in DIDMSNJ that also touch rather sensitive areas
- not areas that all our members necessarily want to write about themselves
for the Journal. SO some issues will concentrate |

exclusively on news stories, of which there is ample abundance.
If you
want to contribute a news article it's quite easy… look out for the
relevant stories in the newspapers then put it in your own words. (If you're
on the Internet, you get dozens of news stories by subscribing to the Right-to-Die
and Pro-Life Listservs, or by obtaining atomated, customised newsfeeds
from the BBC, Nando HealthNet, and similar news distribution services.
